What Is Children’s Trust Fund?

The Michigan Children’s Trust Fund is a remarkable organization. It is the only agency in the state that is devoted to the prevention of child abuse and neglect. At CTF, they don’t pick up the pieces of broken families after the damage is done. They are devoted to preventing damage in all families.

In this way, not only do they save lives but they save the state money.

Alas, they are the only agency in the state that has to raise its own funds to survive. Tomorrow—Tuesday May 17, 2022—is their Signature Live Auction, their biggest fundraiser of the year.

But the silent online auction has already begun! Register today and start bidding. It ends tomorrow.

For the past fourteen years—the number of years Emily has been coordinator of the seventy-three local councils—I have been astonished that they can accomplish so much with so few funds.

They need your help. If you don’t need editing, consider any of the other many items. Just scroll down the page and start bidding.

Remember: I’m #340.

So, here’s another bonus for you: 34 is my lucky number. I didn’t ask for an auction number that’s exactly ten times that but consider this, as we say in Yiddish, b’shert (“meant to be”). If you win, you can have my lucky number for the day.

Now, let’s help prevent child abuse and neglect.
